Following weeks of #protests demanding his ouster and facing planned impeachment proceedings, #PuertoRico's embattled Gov. Ricardo Rosselló announced late on July 24 that he would resign, effective on Aug. 2. Rosselló's decision follows the territory's largest demonstrations in decades, which kicked off this month amid "Chatgate," a scandal involving leaked, even crude, messages between the governor and several cabinet members. Around that time, several high-ranking officials were indicted on charges of fraud and money laundering. The leak uncorked years of pent up anger over mismanagement, corruption and the recovery efforts after Hurricane Maria. Protesters chanting #RickyRenuncia amassed in San Juan, where this graffiti was photographed last week, to try and force his hand. Read more at the link in bio. Photograph by @cgregoryphoto for TIME

Wish there was a similar massive movement of disgust 4 Trump post the Mueller report. "We did not reach a determination whether the President committed a crime." - Robert Mueller. No wonder Trump is so intent on winning 2nd term that 2 election cybersecurity bills were blocked by GOP the same day of Mueller's testimony. These would require campaigns to notify FBI if they were offered any assistance from abroad.Once he is not a sitting President, then he can be indicted. Where are the true Patriots on this? The emperor is not wearing any clothing.

After everything that was accomplished through 12 days of non stop manifestations throughout the entire island. This is the image you decide to show. Reminiscent of old type of shock factor journalism. I saw that the photographer ( @cgregoryphoto ) and he had positive images to share from the event but this is what the editor chose.
Puerto Rico se levantó y está sola imagen no demuestra en lo absoluto todo lo que se pudo lograr. ✊🏽🇵🇷✊🏽

This is the picture you pick to talk about the incredible victory Puerto Rican’s have just had ?? It completely minimizes the impact and gravity of what has been accomplished. 99% of the protests were peaceful. This happened but it was minimal. And right now there are thousands of people in the streets celebrating and you show destruction. Thank you @davidbegnaud for showing the real Puerto Rico and telling the full story.

Wish you shared a picture of the people of Puerto Rico protesting peacefully and not the grafitti (the only negative thing that happened during the protests). But news will be news. Proud of my people for making HISTORY. Making sure their voices were heard and showing the world that peaceful protests can and DO cause change! Violence is never the answer! 🇵🇷
