It seems like the older we get, the more experiences we have, the more likely social anxiety is to arise. The sad truth is that I believe a lot of what people identify as ‘social anxiety’ may actually be side effects of PTSD. EMDR therapy made a whole world of difference for me.

@iambdaniel I'm suffering of another type of anxiety,because of my miscarriages.I've had 4 miscarriages,the last this month.It really killed me inside,I used to be sociable and now I just want to be alone.It's very hard for me.😭

I've had social since I was little. N the older I get the worse it gets I would love any tips because I barely wanna leave the house. N I dont like crowded places but I still make myself go anyways

I've found that reminding myself of the acronym "FEAR" (False Evidence Appears Real) is helpful when I feel (or anticipate feeling) anxious in social settings.
