Macy’s earlier this week said it would pull a line of plates advocating for smaller portion sizes after a wave of criticism over the dishware grew on Twitter. The porcelain plates, created by a company called Pourtions, were labeled with suggested portion sizes, starting with a smaller “skinny jeans” circle followed by “favorite jeans,” then “mom jeans.” After a tweet calling out the plates spread online, Macy's responded: "We apologize to our customers for missing the mark on this product. After reviewing the complaint, we quickly removed the plates." The plates were still available on Pourtions’ website with a product description reading: “There’s nothing like broken-in, faded, ripped-in-the-right-place jeans. They look great, and more importantly, they fit great. So, keep your eye on the middle circle and you’ll always be in fashion.” (📸: Alie Ward)

vydra_j I actually would not mind having a plate like this. I think it would be quite helpful. Growing up as a child my plates were filled brimming full by my mother or grandmother. We were taught to clean our plates, because it was bad to waste food because there were children in the world starving. I grew up with the mindset that I had to eat everything on my plate, even if I felt full way before finishing. Portion control on sizes on a plate would be a good idea

ginlovesal I think these are hilarious plates! I was cracking up until I read they were getting pulled off the shelves because of some cry babies. If you don’t like them DON’T BUY THEM!!! DAMN!
