My friend has introduced me to this fantastic company she is working for that is doing amazing things for the ocean plastic crisis! I want to help protect our beautiful ocean and all it’s marine life. I’m trying to make better choices. I’m still a work in progress but this is a great start... As a Starbucks barista I see this everyday. There is so much concern for sea turtles and not using a straw, but as I walk home I see the sides of the street littered in used Starbucks cups. People are so careless and lazy they can’t wait to get to a can to throw their trash out yet alone think about recycling. It makes me wonder just how much plastic goes into the strawless lids?

Nuclear waste, discharges of liquids such as diesel oil reach the sea, plastics are the smallest problem, encouraging the recycling of plastic will keep the seas clean. What may seem like trash is actually a source of raw material.
