Built between 1897-1900, this is the remains of the abandoned Lynnewood Hall Mansion. Lynnewood Hall is a 110 room Neoclassical style mansion. It was built for industrialist Peter A. B. Widener who passed away in the mansion at the age of 80. It was to then be passed down to his son and grandson, but they unfortunately passed away in 1912 on the famous Titanic ship. It fell to despair getting passed around over the next hundred years. It was used for training military dogs during World War 2, and It would soon after be sold to a religious group who decided to sell off all the interior detailing, and furnishing. During its prime, the mansion had a large art gallery, a ballroom large enough to hold 1,000 guests, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, wine cellars, a farm, and an electrical power plant. Today you’ll find the mansion slowly falling apart with renovations estimated to cost over $50 million dollars. Photography by @alexplore23
