This weeks been hard but not as hard as I expected 💗 I made the decision to stop feeding my baby after 13 months this week and it was the right decision for me but not always easy, I also wanted to get delilah sleeping in a cot as me and scott needed to get our bed back after finally getting matilda into her own room aged four. I didn’t know how I was going to do it as I’ve always hated my babies crying as it makes me really anxious. I’ve had mastitis this week too. I’m going to write a blog this week coming on my @delilahrubyuk website when I’m not so sleep deprived about hormones, periods returning after feeding and mummy guilt 💗

tashsayliss Well done on getting to 13 months! My little boy is almost 12 months now and I’m thinking of starting to wean him off soon as well so will be very interested to read your blog when you post it! I just want to say as well that you have been a big inspiration to me, when I was pregnant with my son loads of people told me how hard breastfeeding is and I didn’t have much hope but thankfully we have both taken to it so easily and seeing celebrities like you has really helped me feel more confident about feeding in public and also just less alone! ? xx

sparkiejade This is going to be me in a few weeks time ? my 2nd son turns 1 year next week and I’ve been thinking of stopping for a while, but not been able to bring myself to do it. I breastfed my 1st son until his last feed at 16months. But I’m the same as you - we want our bed back and want him sleeping in a cot more. It’s never an easy decision and hormones make it worse- but well done on getting to 13months ! How did u stop? Did u drop one feed at a time ? Xx

kezza2040 You're doing a fabulous job so don't feel guilty, that does your baby no favours. Once you have them in their own bed, not only will you feel great because you'll have a better night's sleep, they will too. It won't be easy, but persist. One bad week of sleep training for a longer gain. I recommend @lucywolfesleep You've got this ?

kmcfarlane26 I have just done the same at 13 months, don’t feel guilty you’ve done amazing it’s not easy especially with 2 children and mum guilt is the worst but take a step back and just feel some pride instead! It’s not helped with sleepless nights or getting settled in her own room with me but they all get there in the end ❤️

kkatiebeaton I fed both mine till 13 months giving up was super tough as they would of carried on but i needed me back however didnt stop the emotions! Mastitis is the worst i had to give up in stages as suffered with this couple times! Rest up mumma and no u did amazing and stil continue for ur children xx

jbayxx Well done for getting to 13 months ?? My little girl will be 1 on Friday & I’m also wondering is it time for our breastfeeding journey to end. She’s my last tho so know it won’t be a decision I make lightly. Will look forward to reading your blog. X
