I grew up with The Parent Trap (many, MANY viewings—my sisters and I could probably perform the entire script verbatim if asked), watch The Holiday at least twice every December, and have happily seen all the others on repeat, too. My favorite paper I’ve written in college so far has been about your filmography—I watched each of your movies over the span of a week, some of them twice, taking notes and seeing things in them that I hadn’t noticed or clung to previous viewings. Easily the most fun project I’ve worked on. Many thanks for creating stories that evoke love and hope and coziness—we need more of that.

@nmeyers Dear Nancy,
Would it be possible to get a mini-interview with you today about your “recipe of success”? It won’t take longer than 15 minutes and can be done via email/whatsapp/messenger/facetime or phone - whatever is convenient for you.
We are a small group exploring the methods of successful people and it is important for us to hear your view on what helped you to become extremely successful screenwriter and producer.
We are not associated with any media or press and will be doing the interview solely for private non-commercial purposes.
Best regards, Jany

I totally understand what you are saying! We just sold our parents home , it was our childhood home and I truly had to grieve for it , truly hoped one of our kids could have afforded to take it on, but it just didn’t work out! It was a very painful process to let it go after my parents had it for 60+ years! Such a feeling of “warmth, security like s big hug that deepens and won’t let go for some time “ even though I’ve been married. 35 years it was my home ! It’s so true There is a feeling to the word home! By the way my parents house was pale yellow!

I am so taken with the decor in your movies not b/c they are beautiful but b/c of the feelings they convey. That warm and cozy but not suffocating feeling is very hard to achieve and I believe something many people long to replicate in their own homes. I was fortunate to be able to replicate some of the items I saw in your films but I could never get the feeling quite right. Which is pretty weird considering mine was a real home with a person living in it and yours was a set!

Your movies are so realistic and I’m totally in love with the places you describes: the characters’ houses are so bright, so detailed, so comfort, so warm! I really do love watch your movies because they tell true story about lives and loves. And you don’t know how many times the lines of your characters have crossed my mind, in the moments when I’ve needed them the most. True teaching. I’m waiting for another one! @nmeyers
