personalbest_everyday So I’m reading posts from mainlanders defending the telscope construction ? sight from TMT , they are basing there opinions written by the company themselves ( no environmental impact , money back to the government , jobs,and so on) . Well first off this isn’t about money. It’s about a sacred spot in a land were they are being stripped away more and more for “progress “ industrial ? gains , the whole American fucking machine. There are other companies who release similar reports to support their interest as well and push their profit margins. Enron based their mission statement on Integrity. Monsanto is re-engineering the planet one seed at a time ( fork it over farmers?) Exxon blames mishaps on drunken captains and technical errors to wash the crude and marine carcasses off there soiled hands. Big plastic gets with Big oil to hire 100’s of lobbyist to run around with environmental reports on flash drives to well tan Congressmen over dirty martinis and backswing banter ??. Reports of employeeing farmers to clear cut the Amazon and produce toxic sludge from palm oil so we can poison our kids with a processed happy meal and toy that slips between the cracks of the car seats , like our blindsided consciousness. Perhaps we need to invest in more microscopes then telescopes so we can zoom in on the epidemic know as man , gnawing away at the delicate flesh of Mother Earth. Let’s look down at the dirt beneath our feet at what we call home and preserve what IS sacred, then scouring for space dust particles billions of light years away. To close the mind, and to stop trying to create understanding is to close the book on the human condition. Thru understanding of the universe, we become better. Better stewards of our own plant, and better humans to one another. The search for discovery can not be quantified until it happens. Ignorance is not the way we as people become better. Penicillin, the electron, xrays, even post-it notes were all discovered without knowing that was what they were looking for. I’m not sure when people decided that believing in science, and the evolution of understanding couldn’t coexist with other ideologies, like cultural compassion. Your ignorance of the practical human condition saddens me. And stop watching bad television as your basses for the need of discovery. There’s more to the universe than asteroids. ?

So I really do not think that native Hawaiians know what sign they are doing or it has a different meaning to them. Another possibility is that they want to show this TMT is created by Illuminati.
