Follow ➡️ @cnnclimate ➡️ About 195 million people were under watches and warnings on Friday as a heat wave began to scorch much of the US. Over the weekend, more than 85% of the continental US was expected to see temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Experts say the heat is made worse by climate change, which has led to a greater number of heat waves in recent years. (📸: Drew Angerer/Getty Images)

Climate change is real. The excessive heat & the extreme cold are the effects. Sure you can laugh and say "oh it's summer" but the glaciers are melting and the sea levels are rising. Those melting ice cubes are destabilizing the currents in the water and water temperatures. The results? Hurricanes, tornados, severe storms causing mass destruction.
