Spent the afternoon with our littles on this beach. The water was so shallow for so far out that you could paddle for (felt like) miles!

Pearl wasn’t keen on sand (hated it with a fierce passion) but Darcy (who’s usually quite spooked by the sea) embraced her inner Moana and splashed right in! If you have beach nervous children, don’t worry, it might not last forever! 🌊☀️🌈

I remember one of the children I looked after (I was a Learning Assistant for 14 years in a primary school), who was frightened of the beach, telling me that when they stood on sand it felt like the ground was disappearing from under them! Imagine that feeling, terrifying. Xxx

loisnemo One of my friends 1yr old decided to TASTE the sand. Tongue full of sand, cried, trying to remove it with the hand covered with sand, cried, repeat until one of the parents managed to make him stop. I think I'm naughty laughing about it but toddlers.. better than drunk people to watch.

ashemzed It definitely doesn't. I still remember the first time my feet touched wet sand when I was 3 or 4. I screamed. It was the most awful feeling I had probably experienced in my short little life at the time. Skip forward a couple of years and I basically became the little mermaid ?

anslowwood ❤️❤️❤️❤️Omg I love this beach, you must go and eat in Damakos, his olives are the best on the island! Then have a mosey into san stafanos, down the road into Kerasia bay, eat in the Kerasia taverna with Petrie and Yiannis, the food and view are to die for!!

hazelorcatrainer Try them with water shoes the next time they feel nervous about paddling. It will stop them freaking out about things touching their feet and you don't have to worry about them stepping on something they shouldn't! ? @louisepentland

sunshine_bound Would love to hear all about this trip when you are back! I hesitate to travel places like this with my 3 year old, but it looks like you have made it work and are all having a great time!!! ?
