PART 1:
On this day in history, in 1969, #NASA launched Apollo 11 to complete a national goal set by President Kennedy: to perform a crewed lunar landing and return to Earth. #Apollo50th #Apollo11 #Moon

Astronaut Don Petit, when asked if he'd like to go to the moon: "I'd go to the moon in a nanosecond. The problem is we don't have the technology to do that anymore. We USED to, but we destroyed that technology and it's a really painful process to build it back again. But going to Mars should be one of the next series of steps that human do" hmmmm....ok, Nasa. sounds good! here's the clip https://is.gd/knR2HL

Expecting a comment section full of dumb, there it is. Small people these days don't seem to be able to recognise a great achievement. My parents bought me into the room to see the launch for which I will be eternally grateful. Per aspera ad astra and hopefully Mars while I'll still around to see it.

And they never landed from 1972 to this day.... interesting how they Had very good comunication in 1969 , But today there are a lot of places that you don t have signal. Of course they lost that technology from 1969 ?

@cynthiadahlkagma I remember too. I was 20 yrs. old. We were proud of our country, with what had been achieved.
