To point out the brokenness of our system is not to say we don’t love our country.
It is because of that love of country and American duty that we expose, call out, march in the streets, rail at policy makers, demand accountability and VOTE out the racists, xenophobes, religious right pushing one agenda of God on an entire country.
This is our country, the people’s republic. A mixed bag where Americans have diverse skin color, varying cultural backgrounds, and religious beliefs. It DOES NOT mean America is only straight, blonde, white and Christian. We ALL have a place on this land we stole.
Don’t tell me starved, cold, sick, scared children and fellow humans being held in our detention centers aren’t my problem AND your problem to solve.
Do not compare homeless Americans to migrants to weaponize your dimensional thinking. Don’t tell me your solution to my desire for improvement is to leave. Because I’m not going anywhere. Neither are the 4 American Congresswomen you want to debase, dismiss, and push out.
Change is here. Ready or not.

If we are going to change this land stolen and exploited by wealthy industrialists for, unfortunately, the benefit of the very wealthy, it is up to us to care about other people and make changes at the ballot box. Otherwise, we will continue to be a country divided by manufactured culture wars, spin, corrosive fake news, and illusory demonstrations of masculinity, as embodied by the decisions and public posturing of President Trump. We can make America better and more inclusive, or, we can continue to be a sinking country handicapped by smoke screen arguments over religion, race, gender, and sexuality.

Thank you hell yes thank you. I try & I try to expose the brokenness in our country. I get if you don't like it leave. The hell I served this country. Or if I disagree with a Republican I am a liberal & if I disagree with a democrat I am a Trump drone. Tired of people trying to slap a label on me. This country has corruption from the government to the homeless. I'm not taking sides. If it has nothing to do with love, mercy, compassion & forgiveness I want no part of it. Why can't we just help humanity not just certain groups.

You see this "Bull Crap" from both sides! Both parties have had 30 plus years to take care of these problems. They instead bring up topics that divide the country to take topics like minimun wage, vacation time, lower taxes, veteran's help, health care cost, prison reform, retirement plans 401, education, etc. The other side simply wants to blame the person in charge and run this country into the ground to get themselves back in power. Voting for either one of these two parties isn't going to fix the problems......

Good points @karazma there should be less hate but, what about those poor already here? What about those who don't have a home, who do not have food, and do not have health insurance? Should we not help them before we start encouraging others to come here. Shouldn't we worry about the issues that this country already has before we start worrying about others problems? People are so quick to scream racist .....isn't it the president's job to make sure this country is doing well before we worry about another country?

@mary_ormbrek2018 yeah I just read that too....but you are not stating the whole article! This would be why there are so many issues. Only part of the story is told. Here is the whole article. 400% since 2012! 25% raise since 2017! https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjpibud0L7jAhWB-VQKHY-3CrEQzPwBegQIARAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.seattletimes.com%2Fseattle-news%2Fcrime%2Freported-hate-crimes-and-incidents-up-nearly-400-in-seattle-since-2012%2F&psig=AOvVaw1EeNkcXwMKUydzOwVQGLLH&ust=1563544751851313

When I read this, I was so impressed with the strenghth of these words. As a bystander I see the change in words, in messages and I really believe and hope that this time will be looked back on as an important century when it comes to changes in social care, equal rights and diversity. Thank you for these amazing words.
