I loved the series GOT & avidly watched every season. The writing, acting & fascinating plots held me every season. Was disappointed to know that the series was ending before the last book was written, this should have been the first red light that not all would be well???? As the final series started I immediately noticed something most strange & disappointing, the scripts were lacking any good dialogue!! Second red bell!! The first few episodes re the battle scenes were extremely long & most dark, I could barely see who was being killed & who was surviving!! My interest & disappointment was growing weekly, always hoping for better & well plotted scripts? Sadly, the actors did the best they could do with such abysmal writing & directors wanting to shoot countless scenes where barely a face could be seen. The ending sad to say, could not come fast enough for me!! After all these years viewers has their favourite characters & those baddies we loved, Cersei particularly. So the city burnt, people pillaged , tortured & a strange white horse suddenly appears?? All to strange & a sad ending to a programme of consistently brilliant writing & devious plots. Tyrion for all his “ challenges” am glad he survived, Jon Snow was dealt a terrible fate, Brianne deserved a seat at the once great table, for the other characters I found myself simply wishing them well & relieved I would not face such a torturous waste of time again!!!!

You know, everyone absolutely hated The Phantom Menace when it came out but I don’t recall George Lucas coming out and saying anything about the fans being entitled or wrong. When you’re an entertainer, you produce a product and the audience decides whether they love or hate it or anything in between. The audience doesn’t care that the crew worked 80-hour weeks for X months and shot on location in a hot desert or a frozen lake if the product isn’t satisfactory. I really can’t recall anybody else in recent history saying ‘the fans are wrong to criticize our work because we know we worked hard!’ because entertainers usually have really thick skin about this type of thing (or they don’t voice it publicly).

There is always this narrative, like we worked so hard, we were exhausted, we gave our best. Ok, no one is arguing with that. In my opinion actors made an impossible thing, they played brilliantly the script which had been given to them, like no shit. But all their efforts were wasted. The results are the same. A lot of people are unhappy with the ending. Cause they paid with their life, time, money. Firstly you get people fully invested in this show, then you made this controversial final and expect people to be ok with that? Like, eat that and be quiet. No wonder there is all this frustration from viewers.

Um no one was complaining about the actors and they f'king know it. So please spare me. Everyone loved the actors and the sets and costumes and all the hard work. Everyone hated what D&D did and how the phoned it all in because they couldn't wait to end the series. They totally disrespected the series. Everyone knows it.

Dear GOT cast, not your fault that Season 8 sucked. We love/loved the show. Fell in love with your characters. Do you really believe in your heart of hearts that Season 8 is the best it could be?
I stand by and place the blame squarely on the show runners and the writers.
Now we wait for RR Martin’s version.

“For anyone to imagine or to think that the two creators of the show are not the most passionate, the greatest, the most invested of all and to for a second think they didn’t spend the last 10 years thinking how they were gonna end it is kinda silly,” he said. - I agree. Except I wouldn’t use the word silly.
