I made this image as part of a project on domestic workers in the state of New Jersey, to highlight not only the dignity of their lives, which technically would be considered in poverty, but also the good values and quality of their lives in real terms. Sadly, her son committed suicide in June. I am posting this to remind people that there are alternatives to taking your life, and we must find ways to identify and support those who are struggling. Regardless of what country you are in, saving a life is all that matters. In America today, suicide is at epidemic levels.

russell.cantrell.85 many messed up folks or at least think they are messed up take their lives & many different reasons & until we can discover what those issues truly are & can help with some type of supportor treatments, , suicidal tendencies will continue .

yolive1966 We as the human race need to stop fighting about senseless things and talk about how to help any and all mental illness(depression, PTSD, and so on). So many sad happenings are all due to these issues. God bless

more_reenie Please, the correct language is dies by suicide (not commits). It is critical that we as a society end the stigma of disorders of mental health, and find resources for so many who are suffering. Thank you
