Dan also spoke on Gucci's recent controversies. “When people appropriate our culture, they make mistakes,” he affirms. “So my approach to them was like, you’ve gotta have people like us in the room, so things like this don’t happen.” Dan dismissed the oft-discussed Gucci boycott, saying, “[If] we do a boycott, this would be the first boycott [that] black people of America would have where we get 0 results. How you gonna boycott something ‘cuz you’re insulted, and you end up with 0?”⁠
