On the shores of Yankicha Island we found the most thriving Arctic Fox population I have ever seen. With no natural predators these foxes were unexpectedly curious & their yips & calls could be heard late into the night. Being able to observe this population at close range with a team of scientists was incredible. Photo number 2 show just how inquisitive these fellas are. Most of us woke up to fox piss all over our camping gear & clothes.

This photo shows that we can live in peace with our environment and that humans are not yet seen as a destructive predator wherever they go. But for how much longer will this little fox and its fellow stun us without fear? I just hope that this beautiful photo will not make these thousands of followers want to come and disturb it...

I thought the encounter with them was wonderful for both sides- until they watered your equipment. Definitely not house trained yet. No houses
