@dave_smash_all I never brought any one in particular into this discussion. I don’t have an issue with someone’s size unless there would be health concerns. I’m purely talking about role models/influencers/celebrities needing to take some responsibility for the messages they send and Instagram are rolling out rules for influencers to ensure more transparency. Magazines usually need to put in Ts and Cs that they edit photos for example. One of the leading causes of young people suffering from eating disorders and depression is socio-cultural influences. Images communicated through media and advertising that are unrealistic, airbrushed and altered to achieve a culturally perceived image of ‘perfection’ that does not actually exist is what kids of today are bombarded with on Instagram. I absolutely disagree that influencers have no obligations. They are no different to anyone else in the public eye and they intentionally garner the intention, and if their message doesn’t resonate with someone, they have a right to question it or disagree with it. In general, I’d like to see more people showing off their skills and inspiring young people to become successful in other ways and shift the focus from what your body or your selfie face looks like.

@sonyatal Incel, see, attacking masculinity. It’s all feminists do. Pretend to care about social issues, manipulate the truth to give it a more equitable pallet and attack the character/sexuality/masculinity of anyone that questions them. These are all classic tactics employed by fascists, power-mongers, elitists and guerrilla warfare politicians. It’s not about equality, it’s about getting your piece of the pie and getting your beak wet. Why would I be an activist? Why would I change anything? The world is a wheel and it’s going to keep spinning. As long as I’m eating and pooping then I am incapable of being a moral authority. Everything I’ve said is factual, backed by data and truthful social observations. Your response “Stop rambling and let us be half naked, non-sexual feminists that keep working towards or own agenda whether you agree with it or not.” Feminism is slowly becoming a cult of personality instead of a meaningful social movement. It is about women using their sexuality as a weapon and condemning men for their own sexuality. I look at modern feminism and all I see is a bunch of fools chastising a lion for eating meat.

@_paul_dacon_ That kind of thinking results in real life handmaids tale reality. I'm a socialist in everyway and I do not believe in extravagance for the few. But to blindly accept what you're saying cuz it sounds so "humanistic " is dangerous. Who will determine morality? By who's standards? What are you considering to be riches and modern convinces that need to be relinquished? For all I know that could mean contraceptives, abortion and modern healthcare. We wont talk anymore cuz your exposed as the troll you are. Go start your "humaism" platform, tour with flatearthers but stop spreading nonsense here.

@darnz influencers have no obligations to anyone else. In fact they seem mostly narcissistic and just want to show off their own lifestyles. They only influence people to the point that those individuals want to be influenced. People have the choice to follow them or not, buy any product/idea they're selling or not, or decide they want to be like them or not. Regardless of all of this, you take issue with a woman who was stick-thin to begin with, then returned to stick-thin again shortly after giving birth. You claim not to care about influencers, but you sure care about what this one did

@philomaster yknow what else is feminism?? Getting equal rights. That means EVERYONE being treated EQUALLY. Equal pay. Equal social statuses. But it also means fair and equal divorce settlements (i dunno its name- custody over a child). It also means giving men the freedom to talk about their mental health without being judged. So no, feminism is not a thing you should screw your nose up at. You should be striving towards it and helping the world win a battle its been fighting for over a century

@dave_smash_all it’s crazy how well you think you know me. I don’t follow “influencers”. I don’t follow fashion etc as I’m not interested, especially when I feel there are more important things to consume my time with. Perhaps you can do some research on the affects Instagram and some influencers are having on people’s self worth, body image, mental health, world perspective, career choices, life choices etc. I’ll give you a hint....It’s not good.
