We reached out to our Ambassador, @BrookeBurke, who starts her day with a cup of the green juice. ⠀⠀While celery juice isn’t a magic elixir that will make the pounds slide right off, it does provide a great nutrient boast in the morning. Celery juice packs a punch with vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, phosphorus, electrolytes, water & other vitamins & minerals. Studies show that celery may help to fight against cancer & liver disease, reduce inflammation & boost cardiovascular health. Celery also fights free radicals, the root cause of aging. Celery has positive effects on blood pressure, blood lipids & can reduce blood sugar levels. ⠀⠀Unlike many other juices, celery juice is meant to contain only one ingredient-celery. ⠀⠀⠀ While celery juice provides a lot of good nutrients, when you juice it you lose fiber & concentrate the sugar. An 8-ounce glass of celery juice has 42 calories, whereas a cup of cut celery has about 18 calories. Additionally, celery juice is bitter, so it takes some time to acclimate to the taste. ⠀⠀ If you want to try incorporate celery juice into your diet here are some of Brooke’s top tips!: ⠀⠀ •Drink celery juice on an empty stomach. It’s a great first thing in the morning beverage. Aim for 16-ounces of juice, which is about one bunch of celery. •Buy organic celery.
