@スティーヴ・アオキ and I both share a love for reinvigorating familiar songs by fusing them with seemingly unconnected musical styles. And for as long as I’ve had this wild idea of transforming @davematthewsband’s seminal ballad ‘Crash Into Me’ into a dance track, I always thought Steve would be the perfect person to bring it to life.

So when we finally got the opportunity to meet, I was beyond psyched that Steve was as into the concept as I was, and we began working on it almost immediately. The total unexpectedness of it, the unapologetic fun of it, and of course the deep love of Dave Matthews we both had made creating this version together an absolute blast. (link to listen in bio)

desa_helene I have been listening to it non stop. Being a huge Dave Matthews fan as well I thought it was a perfect ode to such a beautiful track. Of course I love my Dance Music so it’s amazing. Steve is the perfect person to collaborate with😍 great work guys ❤️

sheenz838 Oh no no no. Some songs just cant be messed with. What made crash into me great was the awesome deep mellow vibe it had. It took u to a zone. Youve just gone and butchered the song. Not feelin it. Not for me. Good luck tho

accidentally_magical I’ll check it out- if you haven’t heard Stranger Songs by Ingrid Michaelson you may love the ingenuity of the album and it’s ties to Stranger things. It’s beautiful even if one isn’t a fan of Stranger things ?. ??
