I love the little traditions in my culture that make it so sweet and special ✨ I’ll never forget the story my mom told me when I was little about the 3 cups of tea. We were getting the house ready for company and she said that the first cup of tea served is customary as a welcome, the second cup says ‘stay a while’ and if you get a third cup - well consider yourself part of the family. I grew up in a Kurdish house filled with lots of these little tea glasses. We always had guests over and I loved helping my mom pour the “chai” (tea). I’m grateful I witnessed this kind of warmth and hospitality early on because there’s no greater feeling than loving and serving others.
