Just hangin’ out with majestic vultures, as one does on a Weds night. My new Cape Vulture friend Ronnie is 4 months old. She’s so sweet, social and soft! The other member of vulture royalty is a King Vulture. @lazoo

lorengomez4 I love vultures! When I was in the first grade our teachers built the whole curriculum around birds and conservation. We were taken to a zoo and shown birds that were nearly extinct and told they were among the last and some people were trying their best to help them. It started a lifelong commitment to caring about animals, too. Seeing the California Condor still among us, among other vultures, is such a win we shouldn’t take for granted.
