We met this beauty while exploring Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park. She lingered for just a brief moment and then turned and disappeared into the bush; luckily I nailed a few frames before she was gone. This was my first time using the NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF lens with my Z6. The image quality from the Z6 at high ISO is incredible and the compact size of the 500mm make this combo an essential tool for travel. I shot this picture handheld with no bulky gimbal or tripod! A few years ago this would not have been possible. It is amazing that you can confidently increase your ISO to achieve a proper shutter speed for this longer focal length and know that your image file is going to be crisp and beautiful.
