Remember that open casting call for me and @loulielang’s upcoming @ネットフリックス series!? WELL everyone…meet Maitreyi Ramakrishnan! She was cast out of 15,000 people, you guys 😳👏🏾 We feel so much excitement to be bringing this story to life, and a responsibility, too. Depicting what it’s like to be a young desi woman right now - a real girl with real desires, ambitions and problems. Not just Indian American culture presented to us as side characters on a show. We feel lucky that this extremely special and hilarious young woman gets to help us tell that story. Thank you to every single one of you that auditioned. Can’t wait to see the full cast come to life!

Quite an inspiring post. Taking risk is good and bad. The bad side is getting scam by fucking scammers but the good side making money and also earning money. Bravo Camille Shepard I never believe that i will still find myself making money in binary trading, after been scammed several by scammers but meeting @cam_shepard has changed my life for good I'm now earning good ?from this great platform of her. She gave me hope & reasons to trade binary option, now am not giving up on my dreams.

Wow out of 15000 people. All brown girls!!! ? Representation matters. Where I come from @mindykaling we lack diversity in the media, so much so that even a film about the italian mafia had no italian actors! Our film execs always say we can’t cast black boys and girls because "we can’t find any" Lies! One day I’ll have enough influence, power and money like you and @shondarhimes that they’ll find me 15000 black girls to fill a role because I said so. #bossyladygoals

Ok, but why did you cast someone who’s at least two shades LIGHTER than you? Indians are just as hung up on skin shade as black people. It’s a bit disappointing (and quite telling!) that you’ve casted someone who doesn’t share your very dark skin tone.

AN UNKNOWN ACTRESS!!!??? This is a win for new and upcoming talent. I love when unknowns get considered/cast instead of mainstream actors being given the advantage. Will definitely be checking this out when it airs
