25 years ago. #PearlJam played the 1994 Rock for Choice concert and supported @L7TheBand to raise awareness for abortion rights. Join the @ACLU_Nationwide and @PlannedParenthood in taking a stand to remind everyone that #ReproRightsAreHumanRights.

Never thought I’d say this about my all-time favorite band. But a few things struck a chord with me this week. 1 was a post I read somewhere where a journalist was coming down on Ed, Springsteen, and a few other veteran musicians for not making any good music for decades. Lol. Just riding past success. Then another buddy of mine criticized PJ for their “past 5 albums, or whatever”(his words), and then about 10mins ago I visited the Ten Club site to check out the merch. Nothing had changed. Same bland designs, and the prices struck me as fucking astronomical! Who over there decides it’s cool, honestly, to ask $80 for a thin-ass hoodie? Seriously! It’s bad enough you guys have been whacking us fans for hundreds of dollars for decades now if we want to nurse a nose-bleed at the shows, but $80 for a fuckin’ sweatshirt? And you know something else?.....PJ will ALWAYS be my absolute fave band, but I’m not going to lie to myself anymore, make excuses, or act like the anything they’ve released recently is good! Yeah, Ed’s solo acoustic/soundtrack/even the yuke shit has been amazing...and there’s been a handful of keepers on each album, but that’s it! Wtf. Maybe we SHOULD put a little pressure on these guys to make a kick-ass record. How long are we expected to put money in their pockets anyway? To the tune of EIGHTY DOLLARS for a shitty-designed shirt? What happens to the “bomb” design? The shirts that were actually cool? “9 out of 10 kids prefer...” shirts are like “vitalogy” now.....the old stuff is all that’s any good these days. C’mon man. I’m sick of the bullshit. Give me a passionate album, a fair-priced concert OR at least a fair-priced frigin’ T-shirt! The live shows have turned into “family fun night” now too. I don’t care. I’m saying it. I want “passionate” Pearl Jam back. My fave band. This sucks. Why can’t we ask for accountability? I’m sick of not saying anything..........

This is the sticker I had on my car when I got in a car accident and the officer, instead of consoling me, lectured me on abortion. So, to be clear, he told me MY life wasn’t that important but that an unformed clump of cells was. I’ll never forget that day and it was about 25 years ago. #rockforchoice ????

Abortion is a savage act of violence against innocent prenatal children. Healthcare preserves human life, abortion destroys it. Abortion is not healthcare, nor justice. It's easy to be pro-choice when you're not the one doing the dying. That's how oppression works. Learn more at cultureshiftforlife.com.

So for the slow ones in the back, that was about choice and freedom. You don’t have to agree with the process, just stfu about the ones who do choose to do it. I don’t drink, I’m a pothead. I don’t care if you destroy your body with booze, that’s your choice. Choice = freedom

@aarons5799 women are humans, a 6 wk old fetus is not a baby nor viable. Bottom line is women have a right to choose and that choice is not as “easy” as pro birthers think. Bottom line, don’t want an abortion? Don’t get one; but it’s the womans choice to make, not yours

@ssdatc At 6 weeks a heart beat can be detected so I consider that a baby. Again my original comment was just saying that human rights is not a good hashtag for abortion rights. Aborting a human is part of abortion rights so it’s contradicting to human rights.
