maverickkatz In India, they make Gulkand out of fresh roses, by mixing rose petals and sugar and keeping it in the sun for some days. It melts the sugar and turns the mixture into a brown coloured thick concoction. Gulkand is known to cool down the body from inside. So a spoon or two a day protects a person from heat stroke. ?

layla.dlovely I’m in Alaska, and we have glorious wild roses. I made a lot of rose petal jam this season! I use it as jam, but also use it as a flavoring in many other goodies.
