Today, The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Gurkha Rifles, visited the Battalion to mark the 25th anniversary year of their formation.
His Royal Highness presented operational medals to soldiers after their recent deployment to Afghanistan and was later given a Mala, a traditional Nepalese flower garland, made up of the Regimental colours of green, black and red.
The Prince met soldiers’ friends and families during the celebrations and presented three special Awards, including The Prince of Wales Kukri, for outstanding service. 📸 Clarence House / @britisharmy / PA
