How disgusting are humans? Really?? We come to this gorgeous place and can’t even remember to take with us what we brought in?? Can we all vow to do better please? And remember when you visit a beach or park @take3forthesea! Take 3 pieces of trash that don’t belong to you to help out a tiny bit. 🌊

There shouldn't be any left. I remember years ago I sent to Coney Island and the beach there was foul. Rubbish was everywhere and the sea had like a scum on it with bottles and all sorts floating in it. But people were still swimming in there! It's the one seaside place I've been to in the world where I haven't even wanted to dip a toe in. Why aren't people being fined for littering? It shouldn't even take that though, it's not hard to pick up after yourself. It's like people all over are becoming blind to the disgusting mess.

As a native Californian I make it a point to pick up 3 pieces of trash EVERYDAY. Was taught that by my parents and grandmother. Passing the same down to my kids. We were also in Tahoe (Rubicon Bay) during first week of July, both the locals and visitors left the beach perfect everyday. Everyone JUST TRY to pick up ONE piece of trash everyday.

Disgusting. We were in Atlantic City for the 4th and OMG. The beach the next morning was FULL of trash. People took hotel towels down and left them there. My kids volunteered to go down and pick up other peoples garbage! The amount of garbage left only a foot away from garbage cans, too!! ?♀️

This is so sad. Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Then people come visit and leave their trash everywhere? We need to protect lake Tahoe, not turn it into a garbage can! If I lived closer I would join a volunteer program to keep it clean #keeptahoeblue

Problem is if people would pick up there garbage than and put in the trash can than there would be no litter but there just too lazy to do something that easy. They expect other people to clean up after them. Makes me wonder how there inside of there homes look.

@zwarmstrong to say 1800 lbs in a natural area is "not a lot really" is like 1 in 20 car accidents are fatal or 1 in 10,000 schools has a shooting. It looks like a little on paper until it kills something you care about. There be no trash in an area like that.
