Do you ever feel lonely or like you don’t belong? Almost like you’re an alien? Writer and artist Jonny Sun can relate. To practice being more open and vulnerable, he created the character Jomny, an alien who often feels like an outsider. Through his drawings, Jonny depicts Jomny finding community and common ground in unexpected locations — like a bouncy castle. “I think the inflatable metaphorical bouncy castle in this case is really our relationships and our connections to other people,” he says. “The thing that we have to hold on to is other people. And I know that is a small thing made up of small moments, but I think it is one tiny, tiny sliver of light in all the darkness.” Swipe to see one of Jonny’s cartoons, and watch his #TEDTalk at go.ted.com/jomny. marccolarelli Oh my GOSH TED! What stupid glaze allows this absurd little nursery school offering?! Is that supposed to accomplish ANYTHING? Where in truth's name are the forthright adults? How does your org come into my Instagram marccolarelli ? page again this cycle, add likes and comment and then send this kind of thing via IoT with ZERO further reciprocation, urgency, or immediate action to salvage what is left of life? The absurd hypocrisy of this is astounding! What did the former editor of the Intercept get so disillusioned he decided to provide his own version, that seems more informed or desirable? What depth of actual disregard allows you to believe that this approach (wish list, be happy in horrendous Quantum manipulated decline) is a promise of anything but false hope?! This isn't about little cute bubble boy spreading disregard as joy! If people are already antisocial it isn't going to help for mister bubbly to say don't be. Or is it helpful for everyone to act like everything is fine especially those who ARE NOT antisocial. WTF is that stupid ineffectuality but to serve the idiotic bubble of Jonny Sun? That is so self-sating and stupid, but he gets some boost evidently. AND IT'S A CARTOON. HOW APROPOS. Where are all of the serious pros here? "People" does not mean ONE other because you can only be superficial broadly Jonny. The whole truth is a good start. Try a forthright introspective missive sunny boy. But aside from explaining to you what is substantive vs feckless, how do you miss the fundamentals of responsibility shared by the faith in others that you pretend to fathom. This isn't footsie in the shallow water folks! Put your empty needs aside for a vital God damned second and find answers not aritifice. That connection you speak of so cluelessly comes from truth shared! AND NOT ALLOWING A SELF SERVING DISCONNECTED HEAD IN THE SAND. Can you fathom what I am carrying? When you embrace truth it is permanent. You don't let go and pretend! It is impossible. Get there! Get here! Wake up and stay.

she_willbeheard Ok so I know this may be one of those super annoying random comments... but I’m going to soldier it out and do it anyway... milisasavic I have often felt like that. Great post Ted thank you. I refer to myself as a flower even though I’m 50. My life like some has been a roller coaster but I am grateful I can see that I am learning from the roller coaster so I am blooming very slowly which I am happy with now. There is always a good side to something bad always a way up when fallen down , a way to keep warm if you feel to cold or visa a versa. There is always something to be grateful for and a reason to smile ??
