As a young black girl, I’ve watched years of #Disney characters who were of other nationalities. My friends and I, found the fun and beauty in the stories that were classics in our childhoods. Eventually, I saw a black princess with a frog, Brandy as Cinderella, uncle Will as Genie, and Mrs. Whitney Houston as the fairy godmother. Now I’m getting another #Disney classic with a gorgeous black girl who is gifted and who’s image is spotless. She’s definitely my #Ariel. ✊🏾 I’m proud of you and I’m excited to see you slay this role! Years later, I get to see Another Someone like me in a #disney film!
