@margoryzyryski honestly, yes they do-because that’s what America is based off of. I applaud and thank you for doing it “right”. I understand it is now a very lengthy and expensive process-one, no doubt, my grandparents could not have done when they (and most other people) came here. Agreed (wholeheartedly!!!) our system is so flawed. And taken advantage of-most often by legal Americans themselves. The illegal immigrants I have come across through the years have been really hard working people who aren’t in the system at all. Yet I come across so many white (and here for generations) who abuse the system. There is always good vs bad. Fair vs unfair. I’m not here to judge a persons morals, especially based on circumstances I know little about. But I do know that every human should have the same rights-to try to live their best lives, if you will. If they don’t know the exact, correct way to do so-then that’s not their fault. Everyone deserves better. America has been forming all of these laws to keep people out-the Chinese, Muslims, etc. It’s elitist. That’s not what America (should be) about.

There isn’t a developed country in the world that would not detain individuals who are illegally attempting to cross a border. Wether it be due to lack of appropriate visa or contraband, laws are written to protect the border. Unfortunately there are children involved so this makes the law look cruel but do you think it would be appropriate to house minors with adults? No one should be in this situation but unfortunately the redistribution of wealth is not something that our society currently values. Everyone’s too busy trying to buy the lifestyle you once modelled Redistributing wealth so people in poorer countries can live in better conditions would require people like me, you and everyone in between all the way up to Bezos to sacrifice their own lifestyle. You certainly don’t seem willing to and I wouldn’t either. After all we have worked hard to get here. Additionally forget the people from South American countries, your country, the United States is full of people living in piss poor conditions. Go drive around Baltimore for an afternoon and see for yourself.

I was baffled by americans' ignorance about US immigration policy and an actual legal immigration process. It literally costs thousands of dollars and years to become legal. You have no right to work legally during that time, but required to provide years if tax returns. Absurd! When you have kids, the prosses is much easier in some way and parents are qualified for social programs. Your food bills and medical bills are covered, while most American citizens can't afford basic healthcare (here is you white privilege). Knowledge of English language is not required really. I've been told by Mexican people on several occasions, that they are encouraged by the Mexican government to cross the border and have as many kids as possible. 70% of all kids in CA are born to illegal immigrants at the expense of tax payers. Until US changes/enforces it's immigration policy and honors it's Constitution (it doesn't give you the right of birth. It states it crystal clear) this demagoguery is useless... Harmful even.

@theshizat @tammibell8 to whom much is given, much is expected. @cturlington has built a platform, which happens to reach a large amount of people, and she is promoting her personal beliefs and her truth. You also have a right to an opinion and to express how you feel, as does anyone else. Christy practices yoga, and I’m assuming (chime in if I’m wrong @cturlington) she believes that we are all drops from the same ocean, with that ocean being God. Therefore, if we are all from God, we are all on this earth operating as expressions of the Divine in this world. We are all connected, and essentially all apart of one another. So when you isolate a certain group, or treat a group unfairly, you are treating apart of yourself unfairly. Love thy neighbor as thyself... same concept. But again, you are entitled to your opinions, I just think it’s good to acknowledge how we all think differently. It doesn’t mean anyone is wrong, it just means we all have all have different perspectives

? PSA ? July 12th #LightsForLiberty global wide protest rallies to #CloseTheCampsNOW ⚠ IG ? @lights4liberty ? and ?? So far we know 6 children have died in #TrumpCamps including a 2 yo toddler who was unable to walk due to a medical condition ➡ YOU READ THAT RIGHT ➡ THEY LOCKED UP A DISABLED 2YO TODDLER ?
Another toddler died due to being denied medical care! They made the mother and her sick daughter fly from Texas to Jersey to get medical care, where she died ?
All died 2018 through present! No Migrant Children died like this before the #TrumpRegime started to put #MigrantChildren into #TrumpConcentrationCamps due to their #ZeroTolerancePolicy that Naziesque #StephenMiller authored and the #TrumpAdministration enforces ?

@seizethedesign I am a legal immigrant in US. Went through lengthy and expensive prosses to obtain my right to pursue a "better life" in this country. So what you are saying is that I would have the same legal and moral rights if I chose to disrespect the laws if this country.... I don't think that enforcing your country's laws is denying people their right for a pursuit of happiness. I don't blame the people, I think the policy and the system are flawed and therefore taking advantage off.
