chandra.walker5029 #happiestplace So I have two stories and both involve Captain America. In March 2019, my family and I went to DL to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. It was our first day in the park and we happened to be walking past Captain America's shield. He must've just finished meet and greets. He was walking in front of us, hand-in-hand with a little boy who was also dressed up as Captain America. Despite all the people around him, Captain America spoke to the little boy like he was the only one there. The little boy was grinning ear to ear. He was so happy. The boy's mother walked next to them, and kept saying how grateful she was and how much it would mean to the boy. Cap' just smiled and kept engaging with the boy. It brought tears to my ears, it must've been so special for the boy. A day after this, my son went to meet Captain America. We waited for quite a while, but it was worth it. I stayed off to the side and let them speak. When his turn was finished, my son came running over, all smiles! He was so impressed and excited that Captain America recognized his Kingdom Hearts hat. Cap knew about the game and talked about it with my son for a few minutes. It was all he talked about for the rest of the day. I truly hope these guys and gals know how awesome they are. They bring so much magic and happiness to the lives of adults and children alike!

_actwellyourpart_ For the comments about “boys not allowed” to like female characters or take photos is silly because for ONCE there’s strong, independent female super heroes that don’t have a male love interest for young FEMALES to look up to and adore! Guess what BOYS you’ve had decades and decades of strong, independent MALE super heroes to love and look up to whereas girls were discouraged from having any interest in games, movies and characters created for boys. Stop crying and just be happy for all the little girls who appreciate a female super hero that’s not Wonder Woman who is depicted as falling for a guy in the modern film anyway.

jonratch Naw, the kid’s gotta point. Cast Members circulate more than a few stories of parents keeping boys from taking pictures with princesses or any character that can be considered feminine and/or infantile. So, he’s right, but not in a way that reflects corporate policy, but tired sociological brokenness that can exist in the Guest factor

jonratch Universal’s Islands of Adventure just down the road from the Disney resort, unfortunately. The legal divider is the Mississippi River. Disney can’t do much with Marvel characters on the east coast
