lea_k_be My boy used to lose at least one a week. I kept a whole drawer full from the dollar store so i could just replace ( his name/ vet tags bought in bulk on amazon). I would occasionally have kind neighbors find them, call me and drop them off on my porch 😊. I did find somr that were hard to release, but worried if he got in a tough situation it wouldn't break free quickly enough...so just resigned myself. I live in a way more rural area now, so don't let him roam freely anymore due to wild animals and dogs loose. He is not happy 😐

book_cat9 @lea_k_be My Tig only wears a collar when she takes me for walks. It’s the more expensive ones she loses. The ones from Dollar Tree stay around I live in a more urban area but we have a feral colony so I don’t take her out here. She would beat up all the poor ferals

1987rika Wouldn’t eat tattooing him work? Here in Denmark if you find a cat with an ear tattoo you can look them up online and find descriptions of the cat so you know you’ve read it right, the cats name, age, town, phone numbers for owner and occasionally address as well. 😊

jen_burch I have the name of a couple that makes animal harnesses that are softer and have less buckles so they are more comfortable. I’ll find the name of their website. My stepmoms dog loves hers much more and doesn’t chew it all like she did the store bought one.

shigidigi Mine goes through a collar a month as well. The folks who print the tags are making a fortune off of me. It is tough though because we want them to break away- could there be a good option?!
