Weylu’s restaurant, it closed in 1999 after business slowed and the Bank of China foreclosed on the property. Several other restaurants opened in the space but all failed. The building was abandoned for good in 2009, and quickly fell into disrepair, set upon by vandals.

One of the huge expenses of building the new Weylu's was carving the entire site out of a granite hillside. Must have been hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of granite removed.

@_queen_boheme_ that’s crazy. I can’t for the life of me remember the name at the moment. And we won’t be flying into Logan so we won’t see it. It will come to me.

Weilu’s was it? I went there when I was a kid, I always liked the giant Buddha behind he desk you could rub the tummy for luck and toss in a coin at the fountain.
