"I can still remember the @ナショナルジオグラフィック magazine cover photo that really sparked my interest in photography as a kid. It was the December '92 issue and the cover shot was lava exploding as it reached the ocean water on the Hawaiian coast. It was a long exposure photo and chunks of glowing lava looked like little streaks of light arcing through the air. That photo opened my eyes to what was possible with a camera and I've been fascinated with photography (and volcanoes) ever since. Seeing Volcán de Fuego erupt in person was, hands down, the single coolest natural event I've ever witnessed! And it was an amazing moment for me to be shooting the same thing that got me interested in photography all those years ago." - @thewaltonadventure
