Gilead is... complicated. One of my favorite scenes from episode 6 “ Household” was this one, with the ever brilliant Ann... working with her is one of the great experiences professionally and personally of my life and a great honor. cinnaside I have NEVER once felt a bit of sympathy for Aunt Lydia until this very moment. This show holds a special place in my heart. My favorite professor Dr. Trigg recommended that I read the book years ago. I adored her and soaked up EVERY bit of knowledge she offered me. I remembered actually staying after class to discuss with her. Dr. Trigg taught me WAY more than college lessons. She passed a couple of years after I graduated college, but I’m forever grateful that she existed and I LEARNED from her. I’m constantly wondering what the amazing Dr. Becky Trigg would think about these episodes and wish we could catch up ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m a big fan from Brazil and I don’t know if you know this, but we are very close to becoming a Gilead (the difference maybe is that our president is a moron on top of being a racist, sexist and homophobic). So, if you please, could tell me that the fight and revolution mentioned in the promo of season 3 is really coming, I’d be forever thankful. It has been really stressful to be a brazilian right know so I think it would be good to see some actual resistance so I can get inspired.

jessicaamalia @courtney.j.stone As someone who was raised in a Christian church I can say that my church is absolutely NOTHING like what they’re portraying Christians to be like in this show. Women are not silenced in Christian families or marriages, they’re not shunned away for being a woman. There certainly are not handmaidens there or “marthas” this show is more about a communism who are claiming it’s what “God” wants. This is not a true picture of Christianity

I LOVE EVERY ACTOR ON THIS SHOW SO MUCH?❤️ thank you @handmaidsonhulu for making this show for what it is?? EVER SO GRATEFUL for the wonderful portrayal of all the problems which not just women in Gilead but also women in conservative countries face

jenncavett I’m so glad you post these things @elisabethmossofficial I think I would forget sometimes that these are actresses doing the same job you are doing, and if I somehow met “aunt Lydia” Ann Dowd on the street I would hate her instead of remembering she is just THAT good, that you believe it is really her for a moment

aswarf Watching you and Ann on this show is breathtaking. The connection you shared in this scene in the complex world of Gilead shows both of your incredible acting skills. Your scenes together are so hard and yet I find my heart beats a bit faster and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Thank you both! ❤️
