The following is not a political post. It’s not to spark a debate on immigration or a border wall.
Maybe you saw the photo today in the news of a father and his tiny daughter who drowned near our border, and like me were horrified and devastated. This is no time for arguing. It’s JUST time to love anyway.
Hundreds of LEGAL asylum seekers arrive at the US border in El Paso every week, fleeing for their lives. Many arrive with nothing. Not even the most basic essentials.
My friends from @preemptivelove are stepping into the gap, joining with local friends in El Paso to provide emergency backpacks for 10,000 asylum seekers.

These are LEGAL asylum seekers who’ve received permission to stay in the US while they wait for their asylum hearings. But they’ve exhausted what little they have just to get here.
Which means… they have almost nothing. Unless we show up.

hodges.virginia Please do not take this the wrong way but I don't understand we always help other races but we can't even help our own I'm just saying and like I said please don't get me wrong I don't want to see no kids locked up but what about ours, we have hungry children right here in the United States and homeless, but they don't put that on TV because they don't care about our children
