Omg @hartluck I wasn’t kidding. DAMN. It’s a shame how the entitlement mentality has taken over so much of our country. And I can’t say for sure, but I’m pretty sure you and your wife were scrappy middle to lower middle class So Cal kids like I was. Everything I have is because I WORKED MY ASS OFF, with my high school diploma and moving out on my own while I was still in high school. I trust you to do what you wish with your HARD EARNED MONEY. Unlike those assholes in DC that can’t manage a buck to save their lives. Always easy to spend other people’s money! The haters on this thread need to take a long, hard look in the mirror and recognize that they have control over their destiny- but greatness doesn’t happen while sitting on ones ass bemoaning someone else’s success.

I understand that in the U.S. the taxes are different than here in Denmark. And that your whole system are built up around the thoughts, that hard work can bring you your dreams. Here we pay around 40 % in tax - gladly. We have free healthcare, free education and paychecks to all students. Free from work after having a child, also to the father.. im not saying that our way is the right way, - not at all, but our system catches most of those who needs help and they therefore can become a part of the big happy family that pay. ? A chain is never strongest than the weakest link. It’s interesting to read foreigners opinions, and see different views - amazing to get a glimpse of the American mindset about something so different from what I was raised up with ?

I tell my kids how socialism works by explaining that they are going to work really hard for a toy ?. Then one of their friends is going to “hold onto” all their money and redistribute it among all their friends so everyone get equal. However, I pick the most selfish friend they have to “hold onto” all the money and he gets to decide who gets paid & when. My kids even know that’s a really bad idea cause that person will probably hold back more for themselves because they think their responsibilities are greater and they deserve more. As we read in Animal Farm, “ all are created equal, but some are more equal then others.”

I just wanna start with I’ve been a fan of both of you @hartluck and @pink for a long time... saying that, I live in the heart of the Midwest and absolutely hate when people post hate comments about people’s opinions, politics and whatnot....being a bartender for 10+ years in a variety of environments you know not to talk about certain subjects such as; politics and religion.... I wish people would know what respect means and weren’t as cruel as they actually are but it is what it is... I hope you continue to post pics and videos of your family because it brings a smile to my face everyday.... ?

Too bad so many people don't know what they are talking about, in relation to what Bernie Sanders stands for, or what democratic socialism actually means. It doesn't mean, they are going to take half of someone's stuff. It does mean, we don't buy 5 extremely overpriced airplanes and refocus those monies on homelessness countermeasures, after school childcare, welding and other trades training, career research and training for displaced coal industry workers. Things, that can really make our communities incredible places of freedom and happiness!

Flat taxes aren’t the answer nor are they fair. Here’s an example, for shits and giggles - You and BoBo go to Wendy’s for lunch. You have $1, BoBo has $5, but you gotta pay 20% taxes before you go. You now have $0.80 and BoBo has $4. Ain’t nothin’ on the Wendy’s menu for $0.80! So you get nothing while BoBo feasts on some nuggets, fries, and a fucking frosty. Moral of the story? Flat rates are a lot for some and so little for others. ...and Wendy’s frosties are legit.
