To truly know a place you have to allow yourself to experience it under all conditions. No more running to the car when it starts to piss rain or zipping up the tent flap when it’s windy. I have been to Iceland 34 times and always felt a need to give piece of myself to the places I love. So in the name of “vision quests” or bucket list items or simply getting way outside your comfort zone I signed up to race 843 miles nonstop around the entire island on the famous ring road as apart of the @wowcyclothon . I am shooting for a 60 hour (ish) finish which doesn’t leave much time for sleep.

jkf0419 My wife and I did the ring road over 10 days with our toddler two weeks ago. The gravity of the experience hasn’t really settled in. What a beautiful country.
