I was 10 years old. Bear in mind this was 1999, the same year that pop music was everywhere post Spice Girls in the charts - Britney Spears had launched, as had S Club 7. Which I did love too, but I remember the first time I heard my sister playing her cassette copy of 'The Man Who' (she was 20), I was hooked. I loved the videos, I loved the songs, and the lyrics, and the fact it was contemporary whilst still being melodic and accessible, and the songs on it still hold up well 20 years on. The following year, in June 2000, we went on holiday to Dorset for a week and took a trip to Glastonbury for the day, the week after you headlined there. We had 'The Man Who' on the car stereo for all that day and even now it transports me back to that time.

I met an english guy on line and after 9 months of online “dating” we decided to meet.. i bought a plane ticket to go out to meet him and a week before i left to go..he met someone else and changed his mind about meeting. I travelled there anyway and ended up spending more time in Scotland (with extended family) than originally intended, so it ended up being an amazing trip..even tho i cried the whole time. Listened to Travis the entire trip. Fookin love Scotland. Need to find an old bearded farmer..live off the Scottish land. My dream. 🌱🌾🌸The man who? no.. I’m the woman who..

I first saw you open for Oasis at Maple Leaf Gardens. I had only known I’m only happy when it rains. But then I saw your set. You came onto the stage wearing Toronto maple leaf jerseys. Played and amazing set. Slideshow and the introduction to it is what got me. I was hooked. Then I bought my first copy of the album and the concert is what I remember when I first listened to it

Still my all-time favourite album. Driftwood was my personal anthem at the time, it influenced my decision to emigrate and I ended up selling everything I owned and moved to Canada where I met my best friend. I introduced her to Travis. She proposed to me at a Travis gig in San Francisco, the rest is history. Happily married ever since. 😎❤️🇨🇦🎸

I watched that set at home ... it was the first time I’d seen Travis and I was hooked! I vowed I had to see you live and I did .... a total of 15 times since then. My absolute top band ? I have the new cd now and it makes me very happy to be able to listen to where my Travis journey all started ?
