These children can’t wait for us to ‘vote’...or wait for our flaccid government to act. They are suffering & dying in US custody NOW. I don’t know what the answer is but I know we are now repeating history and we must do something. @shaunking humanized the six children that have died in US custody (that we know of...) by identifying them and giving them a face and a name. It has sent a shiver down my spine.
I, like you, stand horrified and impotent in my actions.

I have a but a small following and my heart has always been initially with animal rights and the grave incomprehensible suffering that persists for those innocents. But It’s all the same. The Nazis used ‘animals’ in their language and their system of herding & ‘cattle transport’. We must stop this. I don’t know how. But we must mobilize somehow.
I don’t understand social media...it somehow ended up I used instagram for art and fun and friends and I scream at our broken political world on twitter. But now I see we don’t have a choice. Dark times.

and her team have inspected more than 30 detention centers over the last few years, saving countless kids.
Last month, their legal team found a premature infant so ill she would have died without immediate treatment. Their lawyers and doctors fought federal authorities to transport the baby to the hospital. And saved her life. Same with 3 more gravely ill toddlers.

deotrolugar First, you can't comment on someone's thread and then tell them you're "not sure (your reasons for believing the way you do) should matter to (her)". Second, I'm sorry your grandfather suffered, but that has nothing to do with the plight of all the immigrants who come here to ask for legal asylum at the border. If you believe people around the world are currently not dying due to political persecution in their countries (as well as wars, drug trafficking, human trafficking, etc.) you need to educate yourself (says this teacher, whose father served in WWII). Third, most immigrants come to our country to be safe, start over, work hard, pay taxes and provide a better future for their families; they are not here to mooch from anyone. Are there immigrants who abuse the system? Yes, but so do many people who have been born here, including some white supremacists. Last but not least, families should never be separated unless the parents are abusing their children, because children are innocent! We have a government full of 'leaders' who - instead of working to service their constituents to the best of their abilities - choose to misappropriate and/or waste public funds. You know, like the President, with all his golf trips and violations to our Constitution's Emoluments Clause, not to mention all the times he's broken federal laws. Hey, and that's not even pointing out the irony of a man who has the gall to pose as a Christian when he is a serial adulterer, sexual predator, pathological liar, fraudster and traitor who praises our enemies in public. Why do I bring this up? Because a man like that has no moral ground to call asylum seekers "criminals and rapists (!)" while children are being caged like circus animals. Therefore, it makes me sick that you don't have any compassion for the children at the concentration camps; sorry, the government's "detention centers". ?

If you want to see a president that miss-appropriated tax money I suggest you look at Obama. The only thing he did well during his administration is vacation. He also had many dinners for celebrities in the White House. Including Jay-z who is a former drug dealer. He also had Justin Bieber perform at the White House. His daughters were fans. That’s just a couple I could go on but I don’t like to waste my time. Our president Trump doesn’t even take pay for being president little on have useless celebrity courting dinners. And I’m also a teacher. I work with special needs children. I saw the decline of public education under the Obama administration and it’s still being felt. My children would not attend public schools. Trump will win I. 20/20 I believe that greatly. If he doesn’t I’m gonna respect anytime who does because I was raised right. Unlike most liberals I see. phatsteve30 @iammichelleforbes I actually have a very kind soul. It’s too long to stare my reasons for believing the way I do and I’m not sure they would matter to you. But asylum is not wanting to mooch off American citizens especially veterans. God rest my poor grandfather who was a veteran and worked all his life. He struggled in his end days because he was disabled and didn’t get half the benefits that these illegals get. The Jews they were being murdered in Germany. They needed Asylum. Wanting a free government apartment and food stamps to better yourself is not asylum. But much love to you. I still think your a beautiful soul even though you think I’m less.

Do you have statistics on all these bombs we are dropping lately? And, I believe that all the illegals that are flooding are borders are coming of their own accord. If we are so evil, why come here? We aren't forcing them to do so. Our country threw off its rulers eons ago because we were tired of being oppressed, so we rose up and joined together to do it. The people from these other countries can do so too. And it's past time this country did something about our government..but I digress.

It wasn’t talked about in the press until liberals are trying to demonize Trump. Who has been one of the best presidents. Hollywood types are sick In the head. The fact that you think your opinion.
