@yvettegastelo oh! took me a second - are you talking about the vaccination law? I don’t think there is a connection between this MTA sign and anti vaccination but I guess I do disagree about this definition of freedom as well. Vaccination doesn’t work at the individual level, it only works when most or all people vaccinate. As an individual you are currently protected by other’s willingness to be vaccinated (it eradicated many deadly illnesses and continues to do so) Refusing a vaccine based on religious rights, although it seems logical, is also putting other people at risk (babies too young to be vaccinated, people with certain immune disorders).

@pttrns and that is where you are wrong, in terms of vaccination. Unfortunately many are unaware of so many factors regarding immunization and herds immunity. The point others and my self are making is respect ALL individuals rights not just the ones you know and support. And be kind and respectfully. I grew up with several Mmrmbrrs of my family fro mother LGBQ community, and bi racial members, we love and respect everyone and quests what, we are Christian. It does happen. Respect everyone’s choice to life their life how they see fit

@yvettegastelo Since the concept of freedom applies to all us citizens, one’s freedom must actually have boundaries, that limit being another’s freedom (religious or other - hence the many laws and rules that govern our lives). It’s really not very complicated. Religious freedom means the freedom to practice your religion without persecution. It is not an excuse for bigotry, nationalism, white supremacy etc.

@elrae_james no, in fact, I want to always be good and sweet to people. My issue is that even in being a normal human being you will offend people. Being shamed is part of life, and being challenged is normal, it’s what helps us grow. This participation trophy driven culture has stunted people’s growth. Even your comment was by your own code, offensive, but I don’t let it bother me, that’s the whole point.
yvettegastelo
@pttrns you are right it’s not complicated. I have the freedom to practice my religious rights the way I see fit for myself. (Hating someone for their sexual orientation is not about religion, it’s bout hate and prejudice) we can all agree on that. But taking my medical choices away under religious rights is just as wrong. Your body. Your choice. Applies to everything

@chrismaghar the point of @kill_box750 is “liberals” automatically jump to name calling, defamation of character, insulting remarks and like “... is your IQ below 50” I hate the term liberals and conservatives but it is what it is. Everyone deserves to be treated respectfully, but You’re just being a jerk.
