Olomouc, the sixth largest city in Czech Republic, where it used to be the capital of Moravia Kingdom. Czech Republic is a combination of many old prosperous kingdoms such as Bohemia, Silesia, and Moravia

The city is 2 hours away from Prague by train and there are many historical buildings and statues all over the town. Pictured above is 「The Holy Trinity Column」 which is a baroque monument that was built as a gratitude toward God for ending a plague in Moravia between 1713 and 1715. All of the artists who put their effort and ideas to the monument were all Olomouc citizens and it has become UNESCO HERITAGE SITE. The monument is also the biggest Baroque Sculpture in all Czech Republic

I love staying in one country longer instead of country hopping because it allows me to absorb deeper into the culture and learn about their history further. Olomouc could be a great choice for those of you who want to explore Czech Republic besides Prague 💖
