@ignite8774 and slavery occurred in africa, but not at the level or severity that it did in the america’s. you’re not telling the whole story. who could have ever predicted the horrors and atrocities that would come out of chattel slavery in the united states, when slaves in africa where treated differently. why are you still holding this grudge against a group of people who were most likely not involved? if the some chiefs in certain villages were responsible for selling people to europeans, you’ll blame all of modern day west africa? make it make sense. if chiefs and leaders are apologizing for their tribes role in the slave trade, it’s out of sincerity and camaraderie, as more african americans take genetic tests and find their roots. where is this hate? it’s a slap in the face to@our shared ancestors when you claim that your roots are in new orleans/from your slave masters. you don’t realize that your ancestors were stolen and kidnapped from their homes, lives & loved ones? that they did everything in their will to keep their sense of culture and home alive, while it was beaten from them? and yet you stand here with disdain for their homelands and everything they fought to keep alive within you. i will admit that there are miscommunications between AA & african immigrants, but the majority of us are fine & working to get to where we need to be. we are all black in america, and i have always/ will always root for us. we have to be in this together.

@adell.ny let me correct your lies: I live in the Midwest and never met an African until I went to college so I didn’t tease ANYBODY. There aren’t a lot of black immigrants in this region of the US. I’ve never worn a dashiki and never, ever will and you’ll never catch me screaming “Africa” because what for? We created African booty scratcher for US-not y’all. So get over it. We named OURSELVES African Americans so that’s another fallacy y’all tell about us not identifying with our roots. Furthermore, your comment didn’t have anything to do with this thread. Y’all hate black Americans and be ready to unload on us like you just did for no reason at all.

@ignite8774 like where is this imaginary hate of black americans? you’re the only person hating and the only person upset. you’ve contradicted your own argument. the idea of “african booty scratcher” whether it’s a term created for you or by you, is still insulting to those who come from africa. you trivialize those instances. you also claim that african americans named themselves that, which is true- but you constantly deny your ties to africa.

@ignite8774 @ignite8774 “African will tell you quick that we are not them???”” The liesss??♀️ The lasttime I checked Black Americans got mad when someone called them African not even to mention the bully many of them give to Africans in high school calling us “African booty scratcher”. Y’all need to stop playing victim to everyone and everything ? Now y’all want to wear dasiki and scream Africa. Shame

@ignite8774 Some Africans will say the so-call black people are not of African heritage/descendants, but we know that's a lie, right? It's 2019 and by now we should know why Africans in the states are labled as black, which is not an actual ethnicity... It's a category, colour, or part of grouping system that pretty much has made it possible for even a so-call white person to label themselves as black.

@ignite8774 everyone has an origin. Why does everyone love their origin country but black Americans. Whites would research their home countries learn the culture etc but with some blacks they hate everything that even comes from Africa
