I shot this from the summit of #castletontower outside of Moab, not a great place to be pinned while a storm like this is bearing down. There were 13 of us on the summit in total, all pretty freaked out as we listened to the rocks around us make a disconcerting crackling noise and seeing Lynn Hill’s (@_linacolina_) hair standing up from static electricity. It was making us all think a lightning strike would be eminent. We had one rappel line, our only exit off of the 400+ tower and I was unfortunate enough to go last in the cue. The benefit however was getting to snap off this photo of an almost 360° rainbow forming over the dramatic landscape. Laying low I military crawled to the edge of the cliff line and as I brought the camera up to my eye-line and snapped off a few frames I heard a tiny high pitched whine and felt static electricity pass across both of my eyebrows, something I’d NEVER felt before in my life. Freaked out, my immediate instinct was to throw the camera away from me, which I did- Thankfully I had a strap around my neck stopping the camera from being hurled off the summit and instead stopping short and slamming me in the chest!
