As we celebrate freedom and the end of chattel slavery in America, we are reminded that this country has never truly dealt with our past sins and our struggle for equality and justice continues. With the strength and perseverance of ancestors fueling our fight, I believe we will win and make America’s original promise of “all men are created equal” real. We are our ancestor’s wildest dreams.

adrumavictoria If we are to take Juneteenth to be a view of love, a celebration, to consider what love is. That is a color-blind love. It is housed in God’s inner soul. We, as a people, have tried too long to be what other people wanted, and we have to come to know what we really want. Our desires are color-blind, but our experience, like the child at the border separated from her or his family, is not. We are to champion the cause that cannot be championed by others. Think about it. Who do you want to fight for, in love. Our love liberates self, liberates worlds.

I want to live in a country that really means people are judged by the conduct of their character NOT the color of their skin AND where mother of black children don't have to live with the fear of their child's safety because he or she is black. Bro didn’t even act like a superstar, asking me how’s my food, how am I doing, he’s a cool cat man. Most actors, will act like they want to talk to people and just bounce and give you the lizard smile while walking away.
