We got to headline the second stage at @downloadfest to the most attendance of that stage in the history of the festival ( we were told this by the guys in charge) . Also, apparently, I am the first WOMAN to ever do that. This history that we are making...and we are ALL making it together! Not just us as Halestorm the band...but every single one of you are a part of this journey with us. We are witnesses to the power of Rock music, the power of women, the power of community, equality and unity. Never would I have guessed, at 13 years old, when Halestorm began...that we would all be here together. There’s a big difference between having faith that you have what it takes to make it happen...and then watching it all happen in front of you. Lil bro @arejayhale and I were talking before the show about the people in the beginning of our journey who thought we were crazy for starting a band so young and all of the people who told us it was a stupid idea to dive in with no back up plan. Well, this moment proves that Yes...we are indeed crazy (duh)...but Not stupid. I am so grateful to my team, my band, my family...and most of all...you...my Freaks.
