This week’s #RoleModelMonday is winner of the WWF 2019 President’s Youth Award! Please meet @ntumngiamonique. Monique is the founder of “Green Girls” which trains women & young girls how to generate biogas from waste & energy from the sun. Since founding this company, 672 girls from 23 communities have been trained. This organization also aims to empower these females on how to promote sustainable development and learn how to become financially independent. Monique states, “I believe that renewable energy is the solution to the energy problem that Africa and the world is facing. This is also a solution to combatting climate change and promotes sustainable living”. Absolutely can’t wait to see what other impacts you make on the world, Monique! You are a force to be reckoned with!
