@taylorjohnsonre I thank you for Tote considered reply. I totally agree that real people become entities instead of the unknown and feaed 'gay' title. I have indeed been to the States and I know first hand that some areas are homophobic. My point was that countries that imprison or stone to death their native gay inhabitants are places that personally I prefer not to spend my money. However I am currently single and have been for some time. Perhaps my opinion could become revised were I in a committed relationship as I have always wanted to stay at the Burj Al Arab!

You are right Andres. Furthermore, one should distinguish between people and governments. I have visited as a tourist several "unfriendly" countries (including some where the death penalty is foreseen and sometimes unfortunately implemented) but I never experienced the slightest problem. I just behaved as you are expected to behave in such countries. It is a personal choice and I will continue to visit such countries, driven by my curiosity to know the whole world (even if it is not perfect). I will never refrain from visiting a country out od

??WOW!!!
What a great discussion on the subject at hand.
Land, religion and culture all play in affect.
It’s good that we can debate all the aspects of the matter.
This is how we learn from each other.
I have two very good friends from Morocco.
One, moved to Amsterdam.
Another, just Graduated from College.
My advice is always...
Get your education, make your own money, and then you will be free to leave and find your safe place in the world.

I’m assuming people who refuse travelling to countries that aren’t LGBT friendly don’t buy products (groceries amongst other things) from companies that give money to anti-LGBT organisations such as the US. Just because it’s the law of the land so to speak doesn’t mean that everyone thinks like that. I’ve been to a few countries that have laws on LGBT but have met some really nice people who have even apologised for their country’s view/laws.

@benjamin_goodwin94 u r assuming correct. In Morocco being gay means 3 years in jail by law. I will not enable a fascist government who discriminates against the LGBT community. Change, then we reconsider. Sun City is a great parallel.

@mashastyles_ just for clarification, Morocco is not a Middle Eastern country. Yes it’s primarily an Islamic Country, but it is located in Northwestern Africa bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea
