My new Emmy nomination was a special report on the intersection of Atlanta’s two cultural identities (hip-hop & civil rights) with a sitdown interview from T.I (@troubleman31) while also highlighting @killermike’s involvement in the community. Whether I get the award or not, I’ve already won by seeing my love for cultural storytelling get recognized ♥️ Thanks to Tip for sharing your perspective, @missmarto for your help, @iamdrjoycelyn for historic insight, and the Ron Clark Academy for sharing how the youth are impacted by the music.
