Just because a person does not experience colorism; does not mean it does not exist. This would be similar to saying, im tired of hearing about mass incarceration, I'm tired of talking about how women are not paid equally; in this country, better yet the war on drugs is a myth, and not a system designed to keep black and brown people down. We can make many irrational statements. There are plenty of of women who make more money then men, there are alot of people who have never been to jail;but does that trump the fact that black men are 3 times as likely to go to jail in there life time, does that change the fact that women on average are paid almost 5000 or more less per year than men; although it has been proven statically that women have been the head of household in our life time. Look I get everyone may not like the messenger; but the message is real. @therealeve and if you have nothing to contribute to this beautiful movement thats finally happening and bring light to how messed #jimcrowlaws left us; acknowledge the systemic abuse of dark skin women in this country and around the word just countiue to support other causes

If you aren't going to use your platform to tell the TRUTH of colorism in this society, " please don't detail anything at all, " because you're displaying covert racism. Covert racism is pretending like it doesn't exist and it's an figment of your imagination. This type of behavior allows individuals whom are displaying racism attributes to exist in this society and which they should be exposure. It's quite easy to close your eyes because you aren't directly being affected by racism attributes. Let's face facts this society rewards you when you're in a interracial relationship socially, economically, and financially. I know these conversations are quite difficult for you because you're in a relationship with massa, " and that's okay, " but you can't expect for the black race to stop being vocal and fighting a system to keeps persecuting them everyday. Because this type of conversation makes your environment uncomfortable. Take care and have a blessed day, SISTER.

Eve, I must say that it was really disappointing to see you spew such ignorance on the topic of colorism. The fact that a White and Asian woman had a better understanding of colorism than you and Sheryl did is sad. Admitting that Beyoncé’s light skin could have had a positive affect on her career does not make her any less beautiful, any less talented or any less hard working. Just because colorism probably didn’t affect you does not mean that it doesn’t exist and it was disgusting of you to infer that. And @sherylunderwood my God! You didn’t want to speak on it because you didn’t wanna go against the beyhive??? Girl what? I’m sure the beyhive is filled with dark skinned women and men who experience colorism daily! I KNOW that you have experienced colorism. So why not speak on it?? You two need to be removed from the show and replaced with real black women who can be a true voice cause y’all sat up there and looked like straight clowns.

PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP TO THE FACT THAT COLOURISM GOES WAY BEYOND THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. THERE ARE A PLETHORA OF TALENTED, EDUCATED, GIFTED, AND HIGHLY INTELLIGENT BLACK PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN BLOCKED FROM ACHIEVING THEIR DREAMS SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THEIR SKIN COLOUR. EVE, YOU ARE SO IGNORANT FOR CARRYING YOURSELF AS IF THE TOPIC OF COLOURISM IS SUCH AN UNIMPORTANT SUBJECT. COLOUR AND RACE ARE STILL AS ALIVE TODAY AS THEY WERE BACK THEN. JUST LOOK AT MEGHAN MARKLE, EVEN SHE CAN'T SEEM TO CATCH A BREAK. SO IF SOMEONE LIKE HER IS NOT GETTING A BREAK, HOW MUCH HARDER DO YOU THINK LIFE IS FOR DARK SKIN PEOPLE? GROW A BRAIN & STOP SPEAKING ABOUT THINGS THAT YOU CLEARLY ARE IGNORANT ABOUT. JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T GET SOMETHING, DOES NOT MEAN IT DOESN'T EXIST. PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF NEXT TIME, BECAUSE THE PRICE OF YOUR IGNORANCE IS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE PRICE OF EDUCATION.

I can’t believe Eve’s nonchalant attitude towards something that deeply affects the black community and not only in the industry. It’s a known fact that darker skinned women are seen as least appealing, aggressive, etc (although it’s not true) and lighter skin women are embraced a little more and accepted more and marketed more. And for @therealeve to brush it off like it’s so appalling that this is even being mentioned is very offensive. These celebrities get money and fame and just forget what goes on in the real world. @therealeve should not be allowed to speak on cultural issues because she’s an embarrassment. Kudos to the Asian and other lady that spoke up.

Mrs. Eve, I am completely disappointed that you had the chance to use your platform to SPEAK UP about colorism and chose not to acknowledge that it exists. Colorism does not dismiss anyone’s talent (well, certainly not Beyoncé) the fact that the nonblack women in the panel spoke up and you decided not to hurts even more. God has given you the celebrity to make people aware of what goes on in our communities, even if it doesn’t DIRECTLY AFFECT YOU. Your sisters need you to fight for them (us) since no one else will. I truly hope that you revisit this much needed conversation. As a dark skinned woman and as a supporter of you expected more. #Colorismisreal
